Harrogate-based business Factory Eleven are delighted to have supplied Leeds Golf Centre – the home of modern golf – with a three hole GolfParc creating a mini golf course suitable for all ages and abilities that maintains the challenge, thrill and impact of a full size game.

Sam Gray – Equipment Manger, Factory Eleven: “We’re thrilled that the Leeds Golf Centre have chosen to invest in the GolfParc equipment. When we designed GolfParc, we conceived it as a way of removing barriers that restrict access to the game – whether that be age, disability or access to a golf club, and it’s fantastic that the club have recognised its quality and potential, particularly as it’s the home of the renowned David Leadbetter coaching academy.”

The GolfParc equipment has been designed to be flexible and can be adapted to create any number of different game scenarios as it includes golfing hazards such as bunkers, trees and water features. The equipment can be positioned to create more or less challenging environments depending on the participants’ abilities or the coach’s goals.

Andy Herridge – Academy Manager, Leeds Golf Centre: “We had a fantastic reaction to the GolfParc equipment when we used it at the recent Danny McQuire testimonial game on July 22 and we’re looking forward to using it in schools and with local groups during the coming months. The equipment gives us a unique opportunity to engage with young people and families by taking the game out of the club and into the community.”

The equipment is designed and made by a team at Factory Eleven, a family-run company who are based at Summerbridge, near Harrogate. The business is run with a strong ethos of creating sporting opportunities for all and investing in young people and adults playing grass roots sport. Factory Eleven has been making equipment for a range of different sports for the last 18 years and runs an eventing business alongside the equipment manufacture, that supports National Governing Bodies to promote their activities

So far, GolfParc equipment has been distributed throughout the UK in Golf clubs, schools and community groups. In addition, the Factory Eleven GolfParc team have worked with national and international development agencies – European Tour, Golf Foundation, Golf Development Wales and ClubGolf Scotland to provide participation zones at major championships in the UK including BMW Wentworth Wales Open at Celtic Manor the Belfry. GolfParc has also featured in two Ryder Cup legacy projects in Wales and Scotland helping to develop the next generation of golfers.
