This September we were approached to supply Cricket Factory Equipment for the ECB Cricket Talent Testing (CTT) programme at Loughborough. CTT is an annual assessment for the best U13 and U16 cricketers in the country. It is a residential programme that runs over a period of 4 days for each age group. The individuals undergo a rigorous and intensive assessment of their cricket and non-sport specific abilities. The aim is to improve the longitudinal tracking of talented cricketers. Following the programme we received this feedback from Cookie Patel.
‘As part of the talent testing programme at Loughborough I was lead Fielding Coach for the event and used the Cricket Factory equipment as part of the testing. It was used in the following ways:
Used to test reaction, co-ordination and movement. The netted apparatus were used in this instance and is something I would personally like to use in the future.
All the equipment was used to challenge the players to devise various fielding drills which would meet specific outcomes such as maximum participation, developing hand eye co-ordination, differentiation and fun.
The equipment was versatile, safe and easy to use; it could be used with other existing equipment and was extremely user friendly for both staff and players.
To conclude, I would highly recommend the use of Cricket Factory equipment to any coach and players of any level or ability, it allows great flexibility and provides options for both players and coaches.’
